AMI-keskuksen turvakurssi

The next AMI Centre's MRI safety course will be arranged onFriday , 2nd of March, starting at 8:00. The course will be held in AMI Centre's meeting room IM312, on the 3rd floor of the Magnet House (Otakaari 5I). The course is directed for those of you who are performing (or assisting) measurements using the 3T MR device of the AMI Centre.

Please note, that if you have passed the safety course while AMI had a GE scanner, all that information is valid and you are still allowed to scan with our new Siemens scanner as well!

The course consists of:

1. prerecorded safety lecture by Raimo Joensuu (view before the course!)
2. GE's safety video
3. summary of main safety practices in AMI Centre
4. examination
5. hands-on safety training in the MRI unit

The prerecorded safety lecture (part 1) will be available beforehand to all registered participants. Parts 2-4 will take place on 2.3.2012, in room IM312 at 8:00, whereas Part 5 will be given afterwards in the MRI unit (approximately at 11:00, lasting for about one hour).

In case you want to participate in the MRI safety course, register by email (toni[at]neuro.hut.fi) before February 27th. You will be then given an username and a password for viewing the prerecorded safety lecture (Part 1). The participant has to make sure he/she has seen the prerecorded safety lecture before the course. The course will be held in English or Finnish depending on the participants.
